how do you "show, not tell" without the use of dialogue? i was told to "show not tell" for one of my pieces but there's not a lot of dialogue or other characters to do the showing with.

sorry for another thread on this but:

english major and while i told myself i would be one of those people who don't switch majors after hearing stories about how people don't graduate for 5-6 years, i'm finding myself thinking of changing because there's this sense that the major really isn't good for anything and the fact that the horde of unemployed college grads are oversaturated with artsy majors don't help.

so at the very least i want to minor. i was never really good at math/science so i'm leaning towards either marketing or econ.

anybody got any experience in this kind of situation?
