tech fucks are unable to understand art. completely and utterly unable to comprehend it. if you try and show them beauty in a poem, complexity in a painting, the force captured in a sculpture or dance, the subtle interplay between actors in a stage play, they break down. they cannot understand anything that does not "optimize" or "maximize." they are trapped within a mental prison and they can't even comprehend that they're in the prison to begin with. in fact, if you even suggest to them, even whisper to them, that maybe, possibly, perhaps, they don't really understand art -- they lose their fucking minds. the very IDEA of aestheticism is beyond their grasp. and we have to listen to them blather on about how their robot is going to write novels, or how their program can make a perfect van gogh, shoot a movie, craft a poem, describe a portrait, while knowing nothing of these beautiful and wondrous manifestations of the human spirit. the only prism they have to view art is that of technical skill. good art of any kind good because looks good. a child's understanding of aesthetics. if I don't get it it because art bad. the idiot's veto. but because these fucks have so much money and so much power we all have to politely nod along to their philistinic drivel, treat them as if they have interesting perspectives, new things to say, a fresh take on the very soul of humanity. when they don't. they have no idea and they don't care about learning. art, literature, music, all fully exist outside of what they are able to understand, and because it exists outside of their ken, they think that it's bullshit. fucking imbeciles, all of them
