Why does Urban Fantacy suck?
You would think that such a setting, of magic and the supernatural coexisting with modern technological societies, would offer interesting perspectives on modernity and past societies, or tensions between different ways of life, but I have not found a single example of it that has any real ideas that extend beyond the world building.
