How much was he influenced by Ancient Rome? Cause I'm reading Quo Vadis now and King's Landing reminds me of Rome under Neron's rule and later, burning of Rome reminds me of Daenery's meltdown, fucked up things some Roman rulers did remind me of GOT shenanigans, the overall feeling of scheming and fighting too. And if he was, was it conscious or accidental?

Why does Giorgio R.R Martino make you seethe so much? I've just read Game of Thrones and he actually ended it with Daenerys breastfeeding the dragons, the absolute madman.
