You know what the best part of the Harry Potter series is? When Dumbledore tells Snape that Harry must die, and you feel, along with Snape, the full weight of Dumbledore's betrayal.

>"I thought . . . all these years . . . that we were protecting him for her. For Lily."

It's the only part that can still make me tear up.

>Implying that wizards are a separate race of humans.

Seriously, J.K. Rowling. Fuck you and your legion of morons.

A couple of years ago I downloaded a harry potter and the deathly hollows E-book off the web. I downloaded this at the time the book was officially released. After reading the real version that I borrowed from my local library a month later ,I realized that the e-book was not the real version but some sort of spin off of the real book. Today I've been searching for that e-book spin off and can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone knows what I'm referring to, please drop by and tell me where I can find it.

Ps - If i can recall correctly , in the spin off:
-Mad Eye moody does not die
-voldemort held a false treaty meeting with the rest of the wizarding world, umbridge dies in this meeting.
-Malfoy and his mother ran away and stays with Harry.
-Malfoy fights voldemort with harry @ the last battle.
-In the begging of the book Harry visit's his parent's home. There he meets peter pettigrew, who tells him that he is a horcruxe.

-Thanks

>I'm just glad kids are reading!

So you're glad that they read absolute garbage since it's popular in the media, then go back to not reading books afterwards?

You people have low expectations.

I just finished Harry Potter today, and I've got one simple question.

Why is it called Harry Potter when.. you know... he doesn't.

I have a problem, /lit/.

I can read hundreds of pages worth of words written by stupid teenagers on facebook/4chan/somethingawful a day, and I can read best sellers like the harry potter series or shit written by Preston & Child cover-to-cover, yet I cannot for the life of me even finish reading even high school cannon novels like "Catcher in the Rye".

How can I become more /lit/ without sacrificing my soul?

Ok /lit/, I love the Harry Potter series and the Narnia series and I have a ton of dead time at my new job where I can read. I want to know of other books that you'd think I would enjoy.

Thanks in advance
