>sam harris is making >35k per podcast so about 140k per month, and that's just his patreon

Jesus, with Youtube and apple and the other podcast sources, he must be making a fortune. I wish I could record a series of successful podcasts; make a few hundred of them, then retire off the constant advertising revenue.

"Maybe throw in visiting an orphanage or two if you're a girl. Get your picture taken with the little niggers for instagram all hugging the white saviour goddess, her messy golden hair a testament to the wild freedom she embodies as an adventurer.

"Then go back home pleasantly opinionated, knowing that all those people who haven't slept in a hostel don't know the real fabric of life as you do. Maybe wear an ethnic scarf as a testament to your worldliness, and casually mention that you picked up playing the guitar."

>do you stress your words as annoyingly irl as you do on the internet?
God, I wish I could talk in UPPERCASE, but I'm afraid I'm restricted to talking in italics. Do you say things like 'Eye Are Ell' when vocally communicating?

Philosophism is one of the main trends of current thought, in Academia as well as in the public sphere. Here are two of its most popular assertions:

1. You can't no nuffin
2. Philosophy is relevant.

The first claim is plainly false, the second one is bizarre....

>1) Science is our only tool for finding the truth.
Science defines itself as a DESCRIPTION of empirical events. Mathematical or language based descriptions that model what we perceive to be the observable. If science had thought it had found truth or objective verifiability, then the whole notion of Nobel prizes for falsifying and refining would be obsolete. "Science is our only tool for finding the truth." is a straw-man spouted by utter morons.

>2) The field of philosophy is irrelevant.
Correct you are. Lets look at your defense of philosophy:
>philosophical concepts such as democracy and freedom of speech
These are legal terms and within a political framework, approached, always, through empirical observation.
>99% of science research is only relevant to a few eccentric specialists[Citation needed]
Are you confining the entire spectrum of science to a handful of string theorists and ignoring huge fields like the medical and technological ones?
>No one besides a few virgin geeks cares if there are aliens on a galaxy far, far away, Mr. Tyson, but half the world cares about justice, morality, and freedom.
And aliens, justice, morality, and freedom are all in the domain of science. Morality especially: Philosophy has utterly failed to produce anything other than an is/ought linguistic dilemma, while empirical observation has given us a complete list of the effects of varying degrees of human interaction, and allowed us to form laws based on what a government body deems to be economically beneficial and self-sustaining while not inciting riots within the population.

Philosophy:
You can't have objectivity...
Can you objectively verify that I can't have objectivity?
No.
God, I'm so profound, let's laugh at the retards curing cancer.
Can you objectively verify that cancer exists?
No.
Cancer belief is a dogmatic sceintism reddit religion.
I did it again, STEMS are so dumb, tehe.
