Are you serious? Epicureanism is the most dogmatic school of that whole era. Actually, it's the most dogmatic philosophical school of all time. It's what they were known for. Epicureans had merchandise with Epicurus quotes and wore jewellery with his face on it and took his shit for gospel. Its tenets were all clearly written down and extremely systematic. Epicurus had texts specifically designed for people to learn them by heart so that they had the right phrase ready for each situation. Hell, Epicurus himself, get this, declared his own birthday an official Epicurean holiday which yearly celebration was mandatory. He picked his own official successor. His people lived a secluded, cult life commune existence who only interacted with society in order to attempt to convert them.

And you're calling a homeless guy whose life was a perpetual organic cultural criticism, who never declared anything in the sense of formal stances and made shit up as he went along dogmatic?

Also, there is nothing negative about Cynicism. If anything, it's one of the most life affirming philosophies there are.
