It's funny, I turned 25 this year, but I got my very first smartphone last Christmas. I decided to try out the kindle app, and quickly got hooked on it. I only very recently switched back to reading paper books. A few weeks ago an anon recommended pic related. It seems to be about 10,000 pages long. Reading IJ gave me a taste for long books, so I wanted to try a real challenge. Besides it's only available as an ebook. I read it at night when I don't want to keep the lights on.

This one has been pretty excellent so far. Currently reading about the Assyrian Empire. I've developed a taste for long books, so I thought 13,000 pages would suffice to take it to the next level.

It's just the opinion of the author I'm currently reading. I didn't take take notes, so I can't describe it in detail. Comparing the Babylonians to the Egyptians, he seemed to think the former were a cultural letdown. He really gushed over those Egyptians. No comparison to Christianity.
