Is science dead and is capitalism killing it?

So you know the classic "God is dead" Nietzsche quote, about how we replaced religion with science and how it offers no moral guidance for society

I understand that capitalism is just an economic model but right now it feels as though it has spread it's tendrils into EVERY aspect of modern life. So much so that I would argue it affects more decisions (in western countries at least) than current religion does, even to religious folk.

This new religion values individualism and personal wealth above all else, it's a religion where you find the answers to life by seeking power. Rather than seeking salvation from God, you seek to become God. The religion of ego, fed by rampant capitalism. I think this is different to consumerism. This isn't about mere consumption but where one finds value and meaning in life. Even if there is no consumption via purchasing goods, you can still be a capital-religious fanatic that dedicates their life to work by finding value and meaning in the work itself. Not the outcomes of said work, but the act of dedicating time and energy to producing personal wealth.

Why the unmoved mover is the best argument for God existence?

I was reading Aristotles "Physics" and the argument is far stronger than any other argument I have seen. So if I were to summarise how I interpret the argument then it would go like this: It starts of with the fact that that every change has a cause. The world is constantly changing, one thing causing the next. We are subjects not objects. Our experiences constantly change yet we are still the same self. The same unmoved mover. We with our own free will can cause things to happen despite at our core being the same subject persisting through time. If the universe has a finite beginning (the big bang) then there was a first cause. We know based on our own experiences of being conscious selves that we can act as "first causes" of things despite at our core not changing.

Conscious minds are the only thing we know for sure can be unmoved movers of things and first causes of things. Of course it is possible that there can be other things which are first causes and unmoved movers but there is only empirical evidence for one type of thing to be an unmoved mover and a first cause. A conscious mind.

Where do you find philosophy resources for kindle reading?

So I have started studying philosophy this year and really love it. The only problem I have is that my university provides all the texts we have to read as PDFs. The look like scanned in books, but I can still search through them which is a plus. The only thing that annoys me is that I would like to read them on my Kindle. Reading PDFs on it isn't very pleasant since I can't adjust the font size, mark sentences and so on.

A lot of texts are from 'The Journal of Philosophy' or 'The Philosophical Quarterly', where both are accessible through JSTOR, but these are all just PDFs.

I already tried the pdf to ebook converter that Calibre provides, but that worked very poorly.

Those who advance evidential arguments often say that the existence of evil gives us evidence against God's existence.

The logical version of the argument argues that the existence of evil is logically incompatible with the existence of God.

If God exists, it is obvious that he has hidden the fact of his existence from us. What are the philosophical arguments for a God to not reveal himself to humanity?

Are there any philosophical arguments about why God didn't made that fact that he exists public knowledge?
