Currently watching the semi rural place i grew up in get bulldozed and filled with an endless sea of suburban houses, they don't even have local shops or community centres (they won't need them). Instead they've built massive shopping hubs filled with international giants, many of which i've never seen in this country before (walmart, ikea).
The funny thing is that despite all these new houses being built, they're all still completely unaffordable, the people moving in are almost exclusively indian.
And no one with power is saying, or will ever say, a word about it.
