Why did tantric texts and teachings survive better in Buddhism than in Hinduism? Tantra is widely practiced in Tibetan Buddhism, which has become one of the most popular schools of Buddhism in the western world. However, tantra has all but died out in Hinduism. Sure, some of it has been absorbed into non-tantric schools of Hinduism, but the practice of tantra on its own is nearly extinct.
