Let's get this over with. Food for thoughts (after this post, you'll allowed to skip Nietzsche): Man is mostly muscle; symbolically speaking, he is nothing but – unless he's unhealthy. For a muscle to grow, it has to be used, and the weight lifted has to increase steadily. Training involves two types of pain: necessary pain and pain that is a hindrance; the former occurs wherever intense force pushes the body into a greater strength; the latter is a sign of false technique, of chronic weakness, of unreasonable load. Living heroically says the same as pumping iron – only one speaks to the muscle, while the other speaks to the man.

Not a single philosopher has ever changed the world. No, Marx was an economist and he doesn't count, and he's largely irrelevant these days anyways.
Meanwhile, science has changed the world beyond recognition. Art and literature actually touched people and changed how they think, since they're engaging and not just pseudointellectual mental masturbation.
Why even read philosophy?

Name ONE (1) philosopher that didn't just write common sense in an intentionally convoluted and unintelligible way to give the appearance of depth. I'll wait.
