Some time ago, in mid-late November, maybe early December, I told myself I would stop using this website and only come back when I've done something meaningful with my life. I have yet to do anything like that. I don't think I ever will. To think that I can do something more than waste my life away in front of a screen ought to be considered as delusions of grandeur. I've returned here because it all seems hopeless again.

University starting again has eliminated some of my despair since it gives me something to do, having to go to class keeps my sleep schedule straight and gives me a reason to take care of myself, but I hate seeing everyone else on campus with friends or partners. I'm a bit glad that those people can be happy and sociable but I'm also incredibly envious. I can't even do one of the most basic human actions of finding someone to spend time with. I feel like I'm in a foreign world anytime I go out in public. It's pathetic and embarrassing.
