I've done 3 mock Paper 1s, OP. Chose prose every time and got 23/25, 22/25 and 22/25.

You can definitely prepare for this.

1. Go over all the literary terms, you DO need to know some of them.

2. Create a generic structure for your commentary.

3. Attempt to structure your paragraphs around the guiding questions, if you're taking a thematic approach.
