It seems to fuck up women a lot more than it effects men. That said, I don't think people tend to sleep around just for the hedonic, sensual sensation of it, so much as they're compensating for an anxiety of sexual inadequacy, which can only be remedied by ways of receiving sexual validation from multiple sexual partners.

I don't know if sleeping around actually causes problems, so much the felt need to sleep around is often indicative or the result of unresolved insecurities about ones sexual status.

That's probably why my country has a 46% divorce rate. The idea of "getting it out of their system" is a boomer myth. Hoes becomeing housewives is just what happens when they realize that their getting old and their best years are piling behind them, so they need to settle before time runs out.
