If you were a person of any really intellectual depth you wouldn't need to inscribe your body with things you perceive to be clever.

For me it's worse when people do it with words because writing is a cerebral art and not about shallow, materialistic visual gratification.

Obviously I wouldn't stop you from doing it but I wouldn't call this art or see it as indicative of anything other than symptomatic of a vapid person with nothing intellectually substancial to offer, and neither would anyone else with a mote of real culture.
