Old friend of mine messaged me out of the blue. She never really was the type to keep in touch or even reply for that matter. Should I repomly sincerely or sarcastically?

If my brain wasn't so dopamine addicted to social media and other shit I would actually do something with my life.

Speaking of that, I've always enjoyed the Tau in 40k's (underutilized) approach. Just convert them. Think of all the crazy shit people have become devotees of over the years. Even if the deal struck is pretty shitty you'll still find people willing to go all in with the Aliens.
You can have all sorts of variations too. Aliens offering the better deal, aliens being worse off, humanity having gone down a path beyond saving (like BNW/1984). Really I don't see the need for anything other than alot of charisma and a good idea (probably through a human mouthpiece).

Or down the edgy route I've always thought of an Opium Wars kinda deal. Imagine Aliens offering free space drugs for like a year (medical/narcotic/maybe both). Then have a hero take a Lex Luthor like stand against their bullshit. I'd bet there'd be alot of people willing to join the Xenolegion to protect the source of euphoria/immortality drugs/tech.

Just a thought. Apologies for the blogpost.
