This argument is hilarious given the average anime fan has the attention span of a cocker spaniel and the artistic sensibility of a rock. A good example of this is how many anime fans absolutely HATE when the medium tries to be anything besides childish (Evangelion, Code Geass, SE Lain) The average /lit/ poster has a dramatically better taste in anime compared to the kind of retard who spouts this shit. You can only appreciate good anime writing if you have experience reading actually good books. Otherwise you just end up a nitpicky fag like /tv/ and /a/ posters whining about trivial bullshit like plotholes or power scaling.

Are there any books that will help me understand why I go for women with certain personality types or looks? I've realized over time that many of the women I'm attracted to and the women in literature,anime,films etc. that I liked have very similar traits. Most tend to be outcasts or fringe figures with outwardly cold and dismissive personalities but with a caring inner demeanor. My last gf had mental health issues, would trade verbal jabs with me but would always support me emotionally. Its confusing to me that these relationships are the only ones I have interest in, even when girls who are much more normal or outwardly affectionate to me are interested I usually have no interest since they feel fake to me. Is there any particular psychoanalysis or psychology authors who touch on this topic and attraction to certain personalities in general?
