My wife wants to name our firstborn son Severian (which, as it turns out, is the etymon of Søren), even though she's never read BotNS. All she knows is that BotNS is my favorite fiction and that Kierkegaard is my second-favorite philosopher. I think it's a bad idea, even though Severian *is* an ice-cold name. She wants our babies names' to all start with S, like our daughter.
