how can western teachers be so retarded? The entire book is Socrates (Plato) showing the reader the perfect government is impossible since good actions come can come from bad people. Unlike other works Socrates allow characters like Polemarchus to show the reader even people like Socrates can be hypocrites when trying to define ''perfect justice''. The conclusion is obviously not utopian - Socrates is not telling the readers how a perfect society would work but rather showing us this perfect society will never exist - and his remedies is nothing but crude reality of every day life and how things work in the real work.

I'm convinced 99% of university teachers ( history and literature) have an IQ below 82 for failing to understand Republic is the opposite of utopia
