A postmodernist is a person who's entire moral compass can be boiled down to one sentence: "if it doesn't harm anyone and it makes someone happy, then it's permissable."

There is a book burning in town today. The local authority is cracking down on books. Today's target; "revisionist" and "counter-revolutionary" sentiment. However, you have seemingly run into a obstacle; the books your burning are of great knowledge. Maybe it's philosophical or maybe it's a recipe to the greatest tendies ever, but there are most likely few in supply. 100 years down the line, if you destroy these, historians might have trouble doing..well, whatever there trying to. Maybe it's piecing together history, or trying to preserve ancient works.

Now, you could join the book burning mob. After all, you'd fit in with the crowd, wouldn't be high on the governments "to hang from a streetlight" list, and, at the expense of this great knowledge, you'll be fine and well. However, if you refuse, these books might be destroyed anyway, and you'd be seen as suspicious, but you could know that you are not taking part in these great atrocities.

Do you?
