The experience of modernity sets conditions in the world to slowly put us to sleep. As we abrogate more and more to the techno capital machine, an unconscious domestication of our minds erodes our ability to see alternatives to where we are at. All this strikes as obvious when we look at academia, science, government, even architecture and music. The cycle of techno capital cyberization is like a whirlpool sucking us down into a toilet drain. From the perspective of a microscopic boat there is an ocean of possibilities to pursue, but from the top of the toilet bowl it is clear that the only direction we can head is down. The danger is that we are imperceptibly sinking.
