How does Harry Potter end up killing Lord Voldemort?

In the book he uses Expelliarmus, but that's non-lethal, and I don't see how it could be.

You might be able to use the excuse that it was because the Elder Wand was fucked up. But that would be flawed logic. In the second book, after the Womping Willow incident, Ron's wand was pretty much epicly more fucked up than the Elder Wand could ever have been.

Ron was still able to try to use a hex, which backfired, but it was still the same hex spell.
It's insinuated in the story, not plainly stated. But that was obviously the same hex intended for Malfoy for calling Hermione a mudblood.
