Life like an Oyster

They say life is like an Oyster,
For the boisterous young it is open,
Yet that carries its own curses.

A million jobs,
A million chances,
They pass us by every day.

How can i not fear that I've made a mistake?
That a phantom of chance has not slipped me by?

What are some books that have a protagonist that wastes away his youth?

People say this all the time, when in reality it's because they can't be bothered to set aside the time to pursue their interests.

I'm guilty of this as well. I've been meaning to start a book today but instead I fritter away the hours in an off hand way. Kicking around on this stupid board in my hometown. Waiting for someone or something to show me the way

Is it too late to become /lit/ at 25?
I've never been a huge reader bur consistently read a few books avery year since I'm a teenager.
What kind of literature would you recommend for someone who's not a great reader but who's also not an idiot?
