>This never occurs with other bodily desires such as hunger and tiredness.
>But it should - hunger can lead to gluttony and tiredness can lead to sloth. Sexual sins aren't the only ones you should be careful.
Not that guy, but I agree that lust is pure destruction of the self. It's the one thing where you "give" or "lose" instead of "get" or "attain". With hunger, you get food, with tiredness you get sleep and rest, with lust you give yourself to it and get controlled by it. You alter your line of thought, you alter yourself, you do things you wouldn't normally do, all "in the heat of the monent". It's a very real thing that the "heat of the moment" only refers so sexual acts. If you're hungry, even if you're very hungry, you eat. Or not. Hunger is easier to overcome by not eating. You might even die, which can be seen as a release, if nothing else. But lust, you don't die for nt giving in OR giving in. You just exist to suffer lust forever.
If you're horny and lustful, god forbid you're very horny and lustful, you get downright destructive.

Ever heard of "La petite mort"? I believe that it is the natural state of non-existing beyond life, only amplified due to there being no other corporeal, corrupting, sensations. Death, TRUE death, is this pure escape. It's void, it's what even Buddha achieved, the ultimate liberation. I believe that sensation of disgust and hatred (yes, hatred) for yourself and life, post sex / masturbation, is what ultimately enlightenment. The realization of how ugly reality is. Suffering does not mean pain. The suffering we talk about is dissatisfaction, ugly, disillusionment. Escaping reality altogether is not as simple as dying. Reincarnation is real, even if it means re-usage of matter and energy, like a blender of corpses which then uses that rotten paste to make new corpses. True death is escaping this cycle.

Start with overcoming lust, the easiest and at the same time hardest of things to overcome.

Yep, overdone to hell but it's one of those infinitely comfy tropes that never actually turn sour.
I think, in a multi-part series, the first villain turning to the good side against a bigger villain is an equally comfy and awesome trope.
