I get what you’re trying to say, that’s why I attached a painting by Klein with my post, although it could’ve also been something from Duchamp, Mondrian, or Pollock — people who actually questioned the limits of art when it was still supposed to be an unquestionable thing. And while there is some quality, thought-provoking contemporary production, I agree on the fact that the vast majority of it is just mindless regurgitation of the same old “hurp what is art what is truth what is ethics” without coming to any conclusions or challenging any norms. Also, shock for the sake of shock value itself is really getting stale, if you ask me.

Any anti-art, found art or art that critiques/mocks the pretentiousness of art and/or how art is perceived by the general public (Un Chien Andalou or Marcel Duchamp's Toilet are the only exceptions because they were the first) is shit. That theme is trite, cheap and boring.
