It has been a time since we have one of those. Why don't we talk about the people that influenced us a little bit to one another? I am curious to see your's influences my fellow anon's. I will start with mine, left to right, top to bottom

>Edgar Allan Poe - his Tales of Mystery and Imagination
Was my entry for writting. If I can be honesty with you all, when I write, the only thing I truly wish is to write just like him, and have, if possible, just 1/3 of the greatness the man has.
>Norberto Bobbio - his Left and Right
When I was a young lad in my first years of law college, I came across, by chance, his book. After I read it, I can safely say it was when I started to care about political philosophy or politics in general. Like Poe, I wish to have 1/3 of the genius and influence of the man, if possible. Bobbio is my role model when it comes to understand the fields in with he wrote about
>Robert A. Heinlein - Starship Troopers
A lot of people talk shit about ST or don't take ST as serious as it should. The book itself may seen short and simple, but is a book about a person first becoming a soldier, and second, about this person's relation with himself and his surroudings. Rico's commentary on the Federation and the Mobile Infantry is great, is much deeper than many pure political books and essays out there.
>Thomas Hobbes - Leviathan
While Bobbio may be my role model, Hobbes was the dude that made me want to understand governments and find the best form of government that should be the one we live in. Of course, Bobbio had his bit of influence, but in dealing with type of government, Hobbes was way more important to me than Montesquieu for example
>Yun Kouga - Loveless series
Loveless had very big impact on me. First I watched the anime, and then I went to the manga. Its a very lovely story, all the love and so on is realy something that touchs very deaply in me. Plus, the cat-ears aesthetics are something I can't take away even from my fucking writting. Probably because at some level, I always saw myself as Ritsuka (that is, being a little pussy).
>Henry Kissinger - his World Order and Diplomacy
Tho Kissinger was a brutal realist, his books talking about the international sphere and the historical evolution of diplomatic tatics and visions of world order had a strong impact in my understanding of societys and international relations itself. Dude, I ain't the brithest star, but I realy do like the man, dosen't matter if he is a war criminal, thing that he isen't.
>Nietzsche - Thus Spoke Zarathustra
Like any angst teen, I read Nietzsche because I heard he was edgy and stuff... He kinda is, but more than this, I ended the book with the deep feeling of the limiteless potencial of people. I am lazy as fuck dude, but when I think of the stuff the moustache man said, fuck, I want to beat the moral slave's.
>Baudelaire - Flowers of Evil
Baudelaire was the only poet who truly was someone I deeply loved.
>Martin [not a meme] - Song of Ice and Fire
