how fucking unironically retarded and backwards do you have to be to read marx and not become a marxist? how trucking much of backwards simpleton do you have to be? Marx is literally constructing heaven and everyone else is just wallowing in the mud. its literally beyond my comprehension how you could be SO stupid that you would literally enslave yourself instead of being free and embracing marxism

according to most communists, a proletariat is anyone who sells their labor for wages. i don't agree with this.

the key feature of proletariat as a class is that they LABOR on the means of production. a means of production is for example, a factory or a machine. someone who works in a walmart or as a waiter does not work on the means of production. they only redistribute commodities. or what about say, an IT engineer. how do service workers as a class have the same interest of industrial workers? i don't think this is the case.

what are some books that deal with this?

>the conclusion of his philosophy is that history teleologically moves towards global communism, when the material conditions will be ripe to spark the revolution
>this is supposed to happen according to scientific, immutable laws of history
>"communist" try for two centuries to artificially bring about the communist society and end up committing some of the greatest atrocities in history
Does nobody actually fucking read Marx?

>It'll make people lazy
Capitalism never cared about "hard work", it cares about supply and demand. This is why celebrities make millions from 2 minute advertisements while someone working 2 jobs will never see that in their entire life. If markets dictated value through hard work then Marx and the labor theory of value are right, why do the people who generate actual value (the laborer) receive none of the profits while the capitalist does?

The answer is they're wrong. Capitalism only cares about supply and demand. Complaining about the poor being lazy makes no sense, the system never cared about hard work, welfare state or not. There are people who make money simply for having money (see crypto, stocks) precisely because capitalism doesn't give a shit.
>But investments!
Buying stock doesn't help most businesses. The only time it does help is during an IPO. Or venture capital. Both of which are uncommon, the majority of businesses aren't public, and VC is highly risky.

The wealthy buy stock to hoard wealth. It's to avoid inflation that results if they keep cash, so instead, they put their cash in an asset.
>But the rich will move!
If you assume millionaires aren't people. Objectively most millionaires don't move because they have responsibilities, families, connections, etc when they become rich. It's easy to travel, it's hard to start a new life. Only ~2% of millionaires move states annually, regardless of changing tax laws and rates, and ~84% of billionaires remain in their country of origin.
>B-but
Giving money to the poor is better for the economy because they spend money. Buying drives up demand, which leads to growth in production to meet demand and the creation of jobs. Rich people seldom do this, when they do it is peanuts compared to their overall wealth. Buying stock doesn't produce anything. Rich people don't create jobs unless they have to (ie to meet increased demand).

There's no reason to not tax capital gains, and redistribute accordingly.

Why do most people on the "left" these days seem to just bitch about marginalization and tranny worship instead of actually trying to make life better for the proletariat?

Capitalism is the most evil system ever created. It’s the exact opposite of a free market. It is a total dictatorship of the rich. The rich people are also the ones who are served most by a government. For the most basic reason a government even exists is to enforce property rights.

> but everyone has an equal chance to succeed with capitalism

No. The rich already own all the capital. There’s nothing that can be done now except take it back. With force if necessary.

> but it goes against human nature

It doesn’t. Paleolithic societies practiced primitive communism. Regardless, humans should be able to rise above our basic instincts to evolve as a species to be more fair and compassionate.
