This book is very good for the "yes, but HOW do I not care?", in addition to quickly putting aside the misconception that it's just about not caring.

I'm reading pic related but otherwise there are really on 3 mandatory stoics to read: Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca.

Noob to Stoicism here. I won't be pretentious and claim to have great knowledge in philosophy, because I don't... But I want a good place to start for Stoicism as it seems to be all about real life application rather than meaningless pedantic ramblings and unprovable theorems.

Has anyone read pic related?

Just started i because I'm interested in an overview of Stoicism as well as how to practically apply it in my life.

I'm sure some people will say just start reading Seneca and Aurelius, but in your opinion can a book like this have merit by giving a broad survey and piquing your interest before delving into the deeper stuff?
