I'll do you one better. Find the book "Think: A Compelling Introduction to Philosophy" on #bookz (the sticky explains how to get there if you don't already know). There is a .rtf file there you can get. Convert it to epub with calibre. "Think" is a great introduction to modern philosophy, I read The Story of Philosophy and found it quite boring, it's mostly just history, no real thinking about modern problems.

OP, check this book out. I'm currently reading it and it is very very good. I've read a few "intro to philosophy" books, and this one is by far the best.
