Obviously the answer to all of this is that corporations benefit from this. Firstly because women now have more money and can buy more shit. Secondly because now the workforce has grown by ~50 percent with the introduction of women into industries where they didn't previously work wages in real terms can be depressed. Not to mention there are all sorts of negative, unintended effects; e.g. the decreased quality of education in primary and secondary schools as high-ability women have shifted from teaching (previously one of the only occupations available to such women) and into other fields such as law and medicine.
