I had to reread the 1st section because I didn't understand what was going on until 40 pages in. I'm so glad the book isn't written like that for the entire thing though or else I would have thrown it away. The beginning of the 2nd section though seems promising.

Make sure there aren't any distractions, and just focus on the words. Look for things that seem out of place in the novel because, remember, everything is relevant to the story.

That tends to keep me focused if I dirft off.

Also, if you want something that engages you, I suggest reading the book in the pic.
