Truly, Hemingway killed literature. Write what you know, be edgy drunken traveler, make little sentences, try your utmost at being authentic etc.

Hemingway was a good writer, but as a person he was a stunted narcissistic mentally ill theatrical dramatic cunt. That's mostly what's addressed on /lit/. Which is necessary, since easily influenced boys look up to him as some masculine role model in an unjustified manner.

Or for a more stable and happy variant: Get over the need for a job and get over the need for goals. Goals merely lead to more goals and more goals, leaving you eternally striving and struggling after phantasms or running out of goals to think of and re-entering depression in a more severe form. It's a never ending cycle of grasping and toiling without contentedness or any lasting tranquillity.
