Any other books destroying the modern emphasis on Eastern spiritualties? I feel like their influence has been growing lately in many forms - obvious new-age amazon boxes, Guenon shilling, all religions are the same, Jesus Christ was just a teacher, etc.

The biggest thing for me is that they have no prophecies confirming anything they say. Christianity indisputably has the greatest historical grounding out of all of the religions. Can Eastern religions give you experiences? Yes, absolutely, but just because one has some sort of psychological / pseudo-mystic experience doesn’t mean that it is good or from God. This is why the idea of ‘prelest’ is some vital. It’s also very telling to me, personally, that followers of Eastern religions are very intent on downgrading and sidelining Christ as *just* some sort of yogi or guru, despite what Christ teaches. Eastern syncretism and relativism is another thing too.

Any book from a modern Orthodox author which completely destroys such ideas? I've read the Blessed Fr. Seraphim Rose, but he only discussed people mixing Christianity with other religions, which is an evil onto itself but I am more interested in self-professing Christians believing in the things listed above.

Does anyone know any more books like Seraphim Rose’s book on Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future? Why is it that Eastern religious ideas are shilled so heavily today? Why is it that Buddhism has been co-opted by Jews and materialists alike as part of the system?
