Okay, /lit/, this is my first foray into Stephensen's work and I have to ask, is this a fluke? It's just so hard to get through in the beginning...should I have started with another one of his books or should I just stick it through on this one?

forgot to mention i read the diamond age first as well as cryptonomicom, I guess I can just work on his last trilogy. How do you guys like those books?

I doubt it but is there anything as good as snowcrash out there?

what do you think of Neal Stephenson's Anathem?

I found it for like $5, and I'm wondering if it's any good...

I'm not big on science fiction, just because I haven't really been exposed to it. Read Dune and loved it though; are they similar in style? I'm not really worried about size as long as it's worth it in the end...

Apparently his stuff is really good but anathem seems hit or miss.
