>it's quite literally just a question of when

Not really. Could ofc go full Frankenstein with replacement organs but that would still not fix neurodegeneration. Issue is intrinsic genomic instability due to our evolutionary path (which involved a lot of retrotransposon integration ... gods, so much retrotransposon integration!!). The uploaders are actually less delusional in comparison and that tells you something!!

Cannot answer that, unless I overlooked it he never clearly did state that. However, he saw "recurrence" as a viable concept ... and I'd agree with this notion as in the special case of "iterations". Patterns repeat in variation.

Quite evidently I have regarding the idea of self replicating patterns. Be attentative, youngling, I've mentionend my prior career in brief. Gone to the core of it, played with it, manipulated it to my purposes ... such silly notions in hindsight. I could go on and on now about bacterial colonies, the secrets of the chromatin and epigenetic "parasites", about the strength and weakness of being a fleshbag driven by some negative feedback loop wetware which is essentially irrelevant as gamete propagation is the only reality it all adheres too ...yet I won't. As this all does not matter in the end. Life devours. Scrambling, struggling, against all odds, against entropy. Relentless yet so fragile. All I can tell you from experience.
