No, white nationalism is narcissism. But Lasch really viewed fascism in today's age as a narcissistic projection by the liberal elite, not an actual threat and the "The Culture of Narcissism" basically describes Donald Trump, a kind of uncritical, unthinking, and ultimately unpatriotic politician engaged in a delusional attempt to restore illusions of omnipotence, but cares for nothing other than admiration and attention. That's American politics today. There's no striving, no vision, and no strategy: merely the objective of being in control.

Read this recently

>what did I think of it
>what should I read next from mr lasch
>what books should I read like this that aren't by Lasch

Also, /Lasch/ general I suppose. Do you think his pessimism is unwarranted? Is he a leftist or a conservative? Or something else? I kept getting communitarian vibes a la Alaisdair MacIntyre but then I read online that Lasch disavowed localism and communitarianism, so it's hard to get exactly where he's coming from politically.
