You gents know of any other authors who are as deep and straight up silly as Thomas Pynchon?

Though "many" isn't the first thing that comes to mind when discussing Twain, he's pretty manly.

I just finished Gravity's Rainbow, it was great, and I'm reading a condensed summary now to go over what I read.

What does /lit/ think of GR?

I also quite like the Vintage covers of Bret Easton Ellis's Less Than Zero (the one with the hazy L.A. cityscape and the invisible lettering) and The Rules of Attraction (the corner of the bed).
