It didn't go over well. My take is that whatever grievance identity politics were on display, they were projections of a deeper problem. That anyone who screams about racial genocide (on either side) is subconsciously voicing discontent about a future that was promised vis-a-vis consumer capitalism, and how that future isn't going to happen. It's telling to me that the weapon of choice was a car. 1.4 million people died in car accidents in 2013, it's been steadily rising since the introduction of cellphones. Everyone treats this like it is natural, like getting eaten by a jaguar in the jungle.
