Kindle Wi-Fi or Kindle 3G?

Basically I'd be paying a one time $50 fee for net access anywhere, that sounds good to me.

I probably couldn't do anything useful on it though, such as google maps when I'm stuck somewhere. Mostly just basic browsing or buying more books.. Which I probably won't do - I hope pdf support is good ;)

E-reader general discussion I guess. I mostly want to hear peoples experiences with using an e-reader in any social setting "YOU BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE ELECTRONIC BOOKS? YOU SOME KINDA RETARD" etc
