is it good?

The entire cast is made up of insufferable nonintellectual faggots larping as smart people and debating over semantics of greek passages that were most likely written as shitposts. I hate the main character not just for who he is but because he reminds me of myself. To top it all off her prose is annoying as hell. The book can be best described as pretentious garbage made as a self insert for dumb people vicariously living as smart people that insists upon itself.

Is this book any good lads? I've been recommended it by my gf who doesn't do bad recommendations usually (her last was I, Claudius). I've never seen it posted on here or anywhere else though, and haven't even heard of it till now. It gets really good reviews though, any of you read it?

Just finished this. Why does /lit/ shit on Tartt again? Sure it wasn’t classics worthy but it was entertaining and fun. Prose is good, aesthetics are nice, the homo relations are tasty. What’s not to like?
