Can´t really tell if you are being serious or just an underdeveloped douche - I'm gonna assume the first because you sound stupid and stupid folk like you need people to look up to.

As to why I chose Faust, I read it first when I was about eleven (no big feat considering I´m from Germany)and read it countless times since and I can safely say that Goethes somewhat cynical view of religion and government has influenced "how I view the world".
