> That incredible feel when you finish every book in your backlog and go to the bookstore and start loading up a new backlog

I fucking love buying books, Jesus. I usually biild up a fifty book backlog and then read through it before buying more.

Is there such a thing as an "Action Novel"

Like a novel, more focused on fight scenes and the like compared to a story?

So I'm slugging through 'Atlus Shrugged', its tiresome sermonizing, terrible straw-man arguments grating against an otherwise interesting premise and then:
"...he signed his name at the foot of the Statue of Liberty"
*Threw the book down right then and there.

So: Rearden signs away the labour of ten years, any tool against his enemies and any sign of hope from the others holding out with him.

To: Betray |every| principle of the woman he claims to love as a move to protect her against the slander of the people she could not give a fuck about and is actively trying to fight for the sake of hiding a relationship that she wears his wife's bracelet in public to commemorate ?

WHAT.THE.FUCK

Thanks, but that's just not me. I don't want to take the shortcut (no offense).

Hey /lit/, I grew up with a socialist father, at a young age he tried to (putting it nicely) brainwash me. I was forced to learn about Marxism so that I would see the world in his eyes.

But I am not so sure if I agree with his philosophy in the end.

I'd like the learn about both sides, so I'd like to know about the polar opposite philosophy, Objectivism.

Could any of you tell me where to start? Books wise.

Thank you.

Tell me /lit/,
why do you like Atlas Shrugged so much?
I keep seeing you guys praising it, so I got curious about it.
What is it filled with?
