>read ebooks exclusively for at least two years now
>visit grocery store
>I notice that it has a small section of books
>stop and open a book
>immediately think to myself something like "This is so easy to read; zero strain, or buttons to press, or UI, or screen to swipe, or internet connection. Wow. This is truly effortless to read and manipulate."
That's that for ebooks, I think. I did not intend to compare them. I was thinking about my groceries. It was an unconscious "that book looks interesting", and because I was so acclimated to reading from devices, the surprise contrast between that and the print book was so striking and enticing that I do not know how I could ever choose the ebook for quality of life now.

>not important but she has huge knockers I fantasize about
>she notices I am always reading and into books because she asks me what I did over the weekend and I always tell her what book I read or am reading
>one day I start trying to explain to her who Faulkner is
>because I don't want to bore her by going into extreme detail about stream of consciousness, free indirect discourse, and Faulkner's romanticism of the South, I tell her Faulkner is basically the MCU. But instead of super heroes it is Southern folk in Mississippi
>another time I tell her I have been reading lots Raymond Chandler, all his stories and novels (thanks LOA)
>I explain to her what hard-boiled fiction is, it's relationship to noir, DashiellnHammett, and how Chandler elevated the hard-boiled genre into literature
>I'm shocked she's has never heard of anything I've been telling her about
>"Wow anon. I'm just not as cultured as you. I've never heard of any of this."
>sometimes after work we go to this cafe/bar that has a literary atmosphere
>it doubles as a small used bookstore

>I've shown her thr Joyce fart letters, told her about Proust and the 13 francs/vase, explained to her that Ginsberg is a pedo, and how Burroughs got away with murdering his wife
>once she saw the background picture on my laptop
>it was Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe in The Lighthouse
>she asked me what authors they were and if one of them was Melville
Goddamn her milkers are huge and I've busted many nuts thinking about them.

Why can't women grasp that reading YA novels past 16 is weird? It's like exclusively reading children's books and picture books as an adult. It's weird and doesn't make sense. It's not normal and is indicative of some sort of stunted developmental growth. You're reading something targeted at 12 year old teens dealing with puberty. There is something weird about that especially if you are in your 20's.

I was recently introduced to one of Tao Lin's friends in the New York literary scene. He used to be an editor for Vice Magazine, and he let me in on a few secrets about the publishing industry. I'm gonna spill the beans.

Turns out all the Asian writers in New York have a Faustian pact with the Jewish publishing executives in New York to use their minority status and writing talents as a profitable, marketable pawn for the Jews and gain entrance into the oligarchy. In exchange for getting their own books published, they are paid to ghostwrite the novels of all those black and Latino authors you see. Those bestselling MFA-workshopped novels about black, Native American, and Latina women you see at your local indie or Barnes & Noble? Minority authors didn’t write those – the expert Asian ghostwriters did. One of them studied computational linguistics at Stanford, and he devised algorithms to help them churn these formulaic “novels” out with more efficiency. Minority actors have been hired á la JT LeRoy to go on press tours, fraudulently pose as the authors, and promote the novels. Consequently, the Jewish publishing execs collude with the puppet "organizations" that give out awards to make sure that the books about minorities keep winning every year.

Those MFA-workshopped novels about trans black women you see at your local indie or Barnes & Noble? Black and Hispanic authors didn’t write those – the high-IQ Asian ghostwriters did. Tony Tulathimutte studied computational linguistics at Stanford, and he devised algorithms to help them churn these formulaic “novels” out faster. Black and Hispanic actors have been hired á la JT LeRoy to go on book tours and promote the novels. R8 my edit
>Trump wants to take cover away from 630,000 Ohioans who took up Obamacare last year, and if he gets away with it, some of those poor souls are possibly going to die. I’m glad we’re not on Obamacare, genocide, femicide. I will never see Mommy again, or Abby, or Bathsheba, or Pepito, and these are permanent sadnesses. I never liked the idea of anything being permanent, scars and wounds and such, chipped tooth, “never since the loss of her dear mother,” Anne Elliott, Do The Macarena, doing the dab, “A little dab’ll do ya,” the fact that Anne Elliott thinks about her mom every time she plays the piano, and that’s how I feel, I mean without the piano, the fact that it’s how I feel all the time. I haven’t felt loved since Mommy got sick, well, apart from Leo, that is, and Abby, and maybe Phoebe and Ethan, but they’re far away, and Daddy, and Chuck maybe, and Nanya, I suppose, or Anat sometimes, and the chickens. at least the chickens really do love me. We kill fifty or sixty billion chickens a year, not me, other people. Mommy’s illness wrecked my life, it broke me, I am broken, heartbroken, heart operation, heart scar, broke, Yueyaquan, Leo, that mean doctor gave me antibiotics for bronchitis, but so reluctantly, he seemed to hate me, and I never knew why, but that was years ago. I sure can hold a grudge. once in a while I remember too much maybe, Persuasion, plainsong, Schubert part songs, Pleasantville, Plainfield VT, taking the rap, the best way to tackle grouting is to apply all your frustrations to the task, all your humiliations too, all your flops and failures, flop sweat, slap happy, force, fork, torque, work, energy, statics, dynamics, stress analysis. statics is the study of bodies in equilibrium, civil engineering, civil rights, civic duty, “Buck up,” I hate it, I just slump when Leo’s not here, but there are boarlets, boarlets exist, even now, somewhere on earth, there must be some boarlets, sweet boarlets with horizontal stripes in black and brown and white, and tiny, little, miniature-sized trotters. I just think those horizontal stripes of theirs make life worth living, my mouth is dry and I’m getting a pimple on my chin. I still get zits, at my age, we still have about thirty sealed packing crates in the attic and I have no idea what’s in them. Stace and I moved in here ten years ago, but I’m too scared of hurting my back lugging all that stuff around, and I’m too busy

Its 14 pounds
British people are insecure about their obesity so they prefer bigger measurements
They don't want to say "I'm 260 pounds" because that fills them with shame, they would rather say "i'm 18 and a half stones" or "i'm 117 kilos"
