It was a "bucket list" item for me. I started reading WoT in the 90s. The problem was that I took a break when the series was only half finished, and had to reread those books. I have to confess that I'm not much of a fan of the series. It was simply unfinished business like beating Mega Man on NES. I do these things because I wanted to complete them when I was a kid and it's satisfying finally doing so years later as an adult. In my opinion WoT is grossly overrated and I can't in good conscience recommend it to anybody unless they're really running out of epic fantasy to read.
