I'm rather fond of Antonioni and Bertolucci. I also quite like Bergman. More contemporary directors would include Michael Haneke, Peter Greenaway, Kiyoshi Kurosawa.

As for specific movies (not directed by any of the above), There Will Be Blood, Ken Russell's The Devils, In the Loop, Michael Clayton, A Serious Man, and Guy Ritchie's Revolver were all great.

Also, of course, Apocalypse Now.

Norman, is this because I called you a cunt? But then I apologized, and I invited you to join me on my magic rainbow.

As some of you already know, I've started to create and upload bundles of philosophy texts in order to make them readily available to interested /lit/izens.

The last bundle consisted of a variety of broadly Marxist texts (e.g., Althusser, Gramsci, Hardt and Negri, etc.: http://www.mediafire.com/?n0zfvmqonz3); the previous bundle focused on Slavoj Zizek (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A2I5DZQ3).).

As noted, all requests and suggestions will be taken into consideration.

If you're new to Heidegger or interested in learning, I would strongly recommend beginning with Stephen Mulhall's Routledge Guidebook to Being and Time (Bundle 2), then reading the papers on Divisions I and II of Being and Time in The Cambridge Companion to Heidegger (Bundle 2). After that, Hubert Dreyfus's Being-in-the-World is an excellent companion to reading Being and Time itself (I prefer the Macquarrie translation, but it's largely a matter of taste).

In order to make the volume of texts more manageable, I've broken this bundle into three smaller bundles. Lists to follow.
