Sometimes is see posts on here that make me feel like i'm reading with a blindfold on. It's the same text, but they are able to draw so much more out of it. How do I develop the kind of skills that let me get more out of a book? How do i make posts that other anons will screenshot and cherish?

22, considered military but not interested and I wouldn't fare well at all from what my uncle told me. Novice in JS and Java but I bailed that because I wanted to learn C++, studying C++ as we speak but Im a beginner. No hobby projects because still learning basics but I have a well of ideas already. The love hate relationship I described is because I enjoy programming but the more I learn the more I hate how broken or nonsensical everything is, which is part hubris but partly a good thing because I have ideas and all I do everyday is study so ill catch up. I applied for uni next year as a transfer, weighing what part of STEM to major in (S, T or M). I at least just want to leave my family and be independent, the debt doesnt bother me too much I’ll know how to manage and mitigate it desu.

How do I get more out of books? I always have very surface level things to say about them, I'd like to be able to see deeper meaning in what I read.

I dont know if this is true for other languages, but it seems to me the received meaning of a lot of words have become more narrow over time.

worlds like terrible (and its derivatives), and awful for example. it seems like in the past they simply expressed the magnitude of something, rather than necessarily its goodness or badness, simply its power or magnitude of presence.

How long does it take you guy to read a 400 page book? Fiction, but literary, with depth but with few philosophical detours for example.

>Where do you you usually read?
Kitchen table
>Do you eat or drink anything?
Tea. Usually green, soaked for almost ten minutes.
>Do you have a favourite time?
Early before my loud family are about
>Do you listen to music?
Almost always. Usually classical, instrumentals, or foreign -- never something with English lyrics. I also choose music that fits what I'm reading: Russian book, Russian composers; Western novel, western soundtrack; Japanese novel, Japanese music.
>Do you read one book at a time or several at once?
One at a time
>Ereader or physical?
Physical
>Buy, rent, or pirate?
Buy. I hope to have really large library one day where all the books have been read.
>Favourite genres?
I've found myself enjoy black comedy stuff more recently. But I don't think I have a favourite

While it depends on your values, yes, as a whole a poor literacy rate means the population is poorly educated' a poorly educated country is an unintelligent one: An uneducated and unintelligent populous are more inclined to criminality, consumption, and illness; they are less productive, can do fewer jobs, and require more government aid. Gatekeeping academia is a popular sentiment here, but even with those arguments in mind, poor literacy rate is bad for a country. While potentially more docile as they are harder to radicalize, they are also harder to inform, as many would have to rely on verbal broadcasts. Even if they are more easily subjected by their illiteracy, the drawbacks far outweigh the benefits.

I'm not going to dox myself because them knowing I go on the hacker Islamophobic cardtrading site 4chan might hurt my parole but around Barnet and Camden. I heard the stealing iphone thing from my defence. Apparently the guy was just juvinlaie offender who was known for smoking weed in the park and got arrested for trying to nick iphones on charge in libraries.

Are you referring to Qanon? I'm not very privy to much lore even though I've been going on here since 2010, I guess it's the curse of being an eternal newfag.

I'm a genuine loser so going to prison, as long as I can feed my bibliophilia, is just an inconvenience; my ambition died when Oxford turned me away and I didn't want to go to my second choice so i'm pretty apathetic to my own prosperity. However, killing that paki, even if he was just a small time annoyance, makes me feel like i've contributed more than I ever could have being a oxford bigshot. Thanks for the support. Hopefully I'll only have to serve a year, otherwise, I'll be out of the 4chan loop forever.
