Dunno if you knew this, but either way you die.
Anyhow if I wanted to really get into this, I'd argue food is more important because A) it can contain water anyhow and B) starving is a much longer period of suffering until death, and C) if you drink too much water when you're starving it makes you sick and gives you diarrhea and the further you are along in starvation the less water you can drink before it happens.

My rhetorical point remains. And this anon >>2013138 had the right idea before me, too.

Read and loved Infinite Jest, should I read Gravity's Rainbow? I've heard DFW and Pynchon were similar and the book sounds interesting

Which one is better: Consider the Lobster or A supposedly fun thing I'll never do again?
I'm about to order some books and I can't decide.

tl;dr
Which one of DFW's non-fiction is better

Carver is great. I recently read "The Bath" and "A Small, Good Thing." It's the same story, but it was published twice after he revised the first version. Both are excellent.

I certainly wouldn't call short story authors lazy. It takes great care to make something < 5000 words work out right.

Why do I miss him so much when I listen to or read his interviews even though I almost never get the point of what he said/wrote in his non-fiction?

He looked so fucking sad and shy, like he was hiding behind his brain
