I tell people I've read hundreds of books but I own about 4-5 physical books total and maybe 2-3 PDFs. I have lied my way through every "intellectual" conversation based on what I read on this image board.

All memes aside, I've been naturally influenced by the shit you people post here. And after falling into the Bakker meme, I have to say that you can't even compare him to Sanderson. The guy is on an completely different league.

While Bakker keeps me constantly engaged (meaning that he has virtually no filler), Sanderson grinds the entire fucking story until the BIG ENDING revelations. Redding him feels like playing an MMO, not only because of the grind, but also because everything is predictable.

They are the same for you because you're probably in the US. Kobo sells the Malazan books from a different editor in the EU.
Amazon sells me whatever I want. regardless of where I'm from. Which is why I won't even bother with Kobo anymore.

What are some good spy/espionage books? Most interested in one where the protagonist(s) have to use their powers of deduction to advance the plot instead of just shooting everyone although some action is fine. Recently finished Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and am going to continue with that 3 book series.
