Okay, here's the thing:
I'm a pretty well-known writer. Don't ask me who I am, because I will not tell you. I've been visiting 4chan regularly since it first opened, and it's one of my greatest sources of inspiration.

Whether you're one of those faggots who say things like "lol lol 4chan was never good", I think we all agree that this place is quite remarkable, as one can find a lot of interesting discussions and just awesome stuff in general.

The thing is, I've been warming up for a few years now to write what I think of as my magnum opus, and I was wondering if I should drop some easter eggs in it pointing to 4chan.

Since I believe /lit/ would be the board most interested in something like this (or rather, the only board who actually reads), I decided to ask you; would you like to see something like this in a book, or would you think it's cheesy?

Thanks.

Hi /lit/,

I've started up a blog with my literary works on it. I was looking for some creative criticism and advice on how to improve my prose. The first story is quite long, and I'm not sure if it'll make sense to anyone but me - I'm unsure if I've conveyed my idea adequately.

Any comments would be much obliged, site is:

Hey guys, not trolling or spamming.

Parents bought me a Kindle 2 (now commonly called a K2, or sometimes just the Kindle now) for Christmas, and I've enjoyed it thoroughly so far.

I'm from Canada, and it cost them approximately $350-450 or something.

Anyway, long story short, the Kindle 2 is now $120~ on Amazon. Not sure whether this is a sale or a permanent price drop.

I know several e-book manufacturers are competing and price-dropping right now, but I wanted to make sure that if anyone was sitting on the fence about getting one, go ahead and do it. Accessories can be found for as little as 5 cents (for things like silicone covers or cases. Mind you, that usually means $10 shipping, but still..).

=) Happy reading bookies.

Hey /lit/. English Major here, about to go into my 3rd year. I haven't declared a minor, and I'm absolutely lost on what I want to do with it. I thought about editing, but that's not really in the running anymore. I wont teach anymore than I'll eat my right arm.
What... can you do with an English degree? My last advisor was less than helpful. I'm thinking about changing to library science. I figure that's the same everywhere, so I could get a job abroad if I so desired.
What other options do I have in an English Major?
